1920s All-in-one with Tambour Lace
A feminine and delicate lady's lingerie is coveted today and this all-in-one or teddy dating to the 1920s is no exception. Made of pink silk chiffon with a generous flounce of tambour embroidered lace at the hem and insets of lace at the bust line. Silk ribbon is used for the shoulder straps as well as the drawstring at the waistline. Each section is joined to the next with decorative embroidery in silk floss matching soft colors of the chiffon and ribbon trim. Closure in the back is with a hook and eye at the waistline and small mother-of-pearl buttons.
Overall the condition is very good to excellent. There is an area of discoloration on the left side, not from perspiration, that looks like a splatter, perhaps caused by water. This may come out with gentle soaking. We have not attempted to remove this as the garment is clean and quite presentable as it is. The discoloration shows as a darker variation of the chiffon.
