With over 20 years of experience in the antiques business Candy Shiveley, owner of Contentment Farm Antique Textiles & Vintage Clothing, began buying and selling antique quilts while living in Los Angeles in the early 1980s.  From that experience her love of all antique textiles grew to include clothing and accessories of dress.

Since then her business has flourished and her experience has brought her to the web site you see here as well as the blog titled "Contentment" that was launched in April of 2007. Both sites are dedicated to presenting fine antique clothing and textiles in a fun and informative manner.
